Dr. Jan Wellik is a writer and environmental educator with over 20 years of experience. She earned a bachelor's and master's in English and a Doctorate in Education (EdD). She is the author of the Nature Writing Field Guide for Educators and Embodied Nature: Poetry Collection.
​
She serves as an Associate Lecturer in Environmental Studies at the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse since 2009 and leads nature journaling workshops and retreats for youth and adults across the U.S.
​
Eco Expressions is a nature art journaling program for youth and adults based in La Crosse, Wisconsin since 2010 and which she originally founded in 2004 in San Diego, California.
